Why ScotFail | The Complaints | How to Complain | Feedback | Story of the "Site Takedown"

So, why ScotFail?

After all, it has been said that Network Rail are responsible for managing the railway network. Adverse weather conditions are another big cause of delays and cancellations. Many delays and cancellations are unavoidable and an unfortunate fact of life.

However, our complaints are against First ScotRail Ltd (not to be confused with ScotFail, the name of this site), as it is them we pay our money to. It is ScotRail who manage the timetables and ScotRail who manage the overall running of most trains on the Scottish railway network. And it is ScotRail who are responsible for keeping passengers informed and ensuring their customers have a smooth and pleasant journey on the railway network.

Unfortunately, a number of issues have been observed about ScotRail's handling of customers and their complaints, the way they handle train delays and cancellations and their deplorable attitude towards keeping customers informed.

First ScotRail Ltd has a near-monopoly on the Scottish rail network and much of the regional bus network is operated by another FirstGroup company - FirstBus. Most of us consumers and passengers therefore have little option but to pay our money to one of the FirstGroup companies, if we wish to use public transport.
